RESTORATIVE PRACTICE 101 ON-LINE COURSE
This course helps people develop the skills needed to enhance their Restorative Practice knowledge. This course is is broken into 4 chapters .
Chapter 1: Restorative Practice - The foundation is laid for Restorative Practices in this session. We review the origins, the language, and the rationale behind why Restorative Practice is effective. Participants will also observe and participate in a circle to build comfortability with the practice.
Chapter 2: Getting Started. Participants will review barriers and opportunities with Restorative Practice. The chapter will focus on the art of delivering a consequence restoratively
Chapter 3: Bringing it into Your Classroom. Participants will define affective statements and strategies to bring into the classrooms.
Chapter 4: Proactive Circles. Participants will be introduced to community building circles and view some in action.
